The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the superior quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This status sassa is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company place made for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
